Power!

The Bee Sauna uses 110V household power. The usage can vary depending on the weather, and a hive's insulation. We have used a Jackery Explorer 1,000 to power the Bee Sauna. It uses just over half of its charge during a single Bee Sauna treatment.

Steps to the Bee Sauna

The purpose of the Bee Sauna unit is to be as labor free as possible when combating the destructive varroa mite. This product is easy and simple to use with as little disruption to the bees' life as possible. This can even be used during the nectar flow, as any supers can be placed either to the side, or on top of the Bee Sauna with an opening!

The Bee Sauna is programed to run at a set temperature for 3 hours, with an additional pre-heat cycle to ensure that the targeted temperature heats completely through the brood comb. This thermal process targets the mites under the capped brood, as well as the surface mites on nurse bees. Our goal is to naturally fight against Varroa Destructor with no chemicals.

During and After the Bee Sauna program:

During the Bee Sauna program you can connect any device with Wi-Fi connectivity to your Bee Sauna. Each Bee Sauna has a unique internet connection, which you will be able to track the temperature and time left of the program, as well as any errors that may have occurred during the program.

After using the Bee Sauna, remember to put out water for your bees!
